Built to bypass the bloated interfaces of standard consumer mapping apps, SkyNav communicates directly with your device's hardware to deliver real-time, zero-latency flight metrics.

​Whether you are monitoring a commercial flight from a window seat or conducting aerial surveys, SkyNav provides a high-contrast, avionics-grade layout that prioritizes readability. The pitch-black UI preserves night vision in dark cockpits, while the core telemetry engine calculates crucial data entirely off-grid.

• ​Real-Time Flight Telemetry: Instantly read Ground Speed (km/h), Absolute Altitude (m), and precise GPS Coordinates without requiring a cellular connection.
• ​Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI): Calculates your exact rate of climb or descent (m/s) with visual color-coded alerts so you can monitor altitude changes at a glance.
• ​Live Flight Path Mapping: Integrated mapping engine renders your live position, leaving a geographic breadcrumb trail of your exact flight route.

• ​Location Data: SkyNav relies on your device's GPS hardware to calculate speed, altitude, bearing, and coordinates. This location data is processed locally on your device in real-time to provide the core Heads-Up Display (HUD) and mapping functionalities.
• ​Storage Data: The app requests read/write access to your device's storage strictly for caching offline map tiles via the mapping engine, ensuring the map remains functional without an active internet connection.

​We do not transmit, store, or share your GPS location or personal data on external servers. All telemetry logs and tracking data remain entirely local to your personal device.

​2. Third-Party Services

The app utilizes OpenStreetMap (OSMDroid) to render the map interface. When your device is connected to the internet, this third-party library may request map tiles from OpenStreetMap servers.

These third-party providers have their own Privacy Policies addressing how they handle data (such as logging IP addresses for map tile requests). We do not share any of your personal telemetry or location data with them.

We value your trust in providing us with your Location data, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. Since SkyNav operates primarily as an offline, locally-hosted tool, your location data is inherently secured within your device's own operating system sandbox.
